Jack's years of experience in the motion graphics and design industry have generated a diverse body of award-winning work. His early interest in art and filmmaking was encouraged by his family, his father being the art teacher at his high school. His first computer was an Atari 800xl, whose crude 4-color animation capabilities led to several bizarre short films in high school. He later completed his degree at the Memphis College of Art, where an exchange with the San Francisco Art Institute convinced Jack to move west. In 1996, he became Senior Designer at the Bay Area firm DesignSite, mainly focusing on design and illustration. His work here eventually landed him a spot in Print Magazine's Design Annual. With the evolution of digital video and the internet, his work soon evolved towards web animation and motion graphics. In 2000 he moved to New York where he completed Food, an award-winning animated film shown on PBS and at festivals worldwide. In 2001, Jack and his partner Matthew Robbins launched Artfool, a multidisciplinary design studio that went on to become one of New York's finest event design companies. In 2008 Jack and Matthew were chosen as one of Modern Bride's 25 Trendsetters of the Year. His work has been seen on every major network, including MTV, VH1, ABC, NBC, HBO, the Style Network and the Discovery Channel, as well as featured in The New York Times, Print Magazine, Wired and Newsweek.
